The newest recording from the band Jackson Heights is a fresh take on the band’s signature sound and promises to be their most successful to date.

The CD “This Thing Called Life” deals with exactly that: LIFE! 8 of the songs on this project are original songs with 8 tunes penned by band member Kent Humphrey.

The title song “This Thing Called Life” is a light hearted look at some of the things life can throw at you but building a strong relationship is the key to enjoying the process.

On the song “Fight” the band is joined by Country Music Legend Duane Allen of The Oak Ridge Boys. The song is a call to be bold and stand up for what you believe.

Jackson Heights covers 2 great songs on this recording. “I Cry” was originally recorded by Russ Taff and “Stranger” was written by Joel Hemphill & Candy Hemphill Christmas.

“We Can Love Through This” deals with how marriage relationships can sometimes be tested but Love can see you through any situation.

“The Road That Leads Us Home” is all about choices and how those choices determine the direction of your life.
